LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - The Laurel County coroner has released the identity of a body found after an apartment fire in North Corbin.
Laurel County Sheriff Deputies say the body of 29-year-old Neil Spitzer of Corbin, was found in a vehicle in the carport behind the home.
We're told the home, which has two apartments, was in flames after an explosion near American Greeting Card Road, on Dorthae Road, also known as Ky. 1223.
At least four fire departments fought the flames.
Sheriff's deputies tell WKYT they believe the fire is suspicious and arson investigators were called to the scene.
Deputies say the residents of the other apartment at the duplex were unharmed.
Spitzer's body will be sent to Frankfort to determine the cause of death.
