WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Money seized in drug cases bought new computers for Whitley County Sheriff's Deputies.
The money was forfeited from convicted drug dealers.
The department used the money to purchase seven laptops.
"This is for the deputies. This is to provide service to the public, more efficient reporting by the deputies. They can be used in the car, in the office," said Sheriff Colan Harrell.
The Sheriff says the new computers will cut down the time needed to file reports.
