An arrest has been made in connection with the shooting death of a man in Winchester.
Police say Jeffery Clem was arrested Wednesday night in connection with the murder of Wilburn Banks.
Police found Banks shot to death Wednesday morning inside his home on Mount Sterling Road in Winchester.
Clark County Jail officials tell us Clem is being held there on a murder charge.
Winchester Police aren't saying anything yet about a possible motive for the murder.
They do say Clem and Banks were acquaintances. Neighbors say Banks had only lived in his home for a few months.
Banks' family says they were glad to hear about an arrest in the case.
"It would be very hard to deal with this if someone got away with it," Kathy Pelletier, Banks' sister said. "I'm very pleased that they arrested this person and apparently did a very good job with it."
"I never saw Willie hurt anybody. He loved his family and would do anything for anybody and why someone would hurt him I just don't know," says Phyllis Bailey, Banks' sister-in-law.
"We just can't understand why anyone would want to hurt Willie, much less commit murder against him," says Jerri Bailey, Banks' sister-in-law.
Jeffrey Clem is being held on a $250,000 bond and is expected to appear in court on Monday for this murder charge. He denied our request for an interview from jail.
