A woman is recovering from injuries she says she got after being jumped by a couple earlier this week.
Dionne Carmen says as she walked by Roy Gross and Shannon Johnson's Winchester home on Seaboard Street, she was repeatedly assaulted by the couple.
Carmen says the couple punched, kicked and hit her with a whiskey bottle, only stopping after someone yelled, "Stop. You're going to kill her."
Gross and Johnson tell a very different story from the Clark County Regional Jail.
Both say Carmen came over to their home drunk, with the whiskey bottle, looking for a fight.
Johnson admits she did hit her, but says it was in self defense. Gross says the fight was between Johnson and Carmen and he had nothing to do with it.
Both are charged with second degree assault and have a chance to tell their story to the judge September 29th in court.
Carmen's husband says his wife will need surgery to repair her broken arm, and he wants justice for Carmen's injuries.
