Police have arrested the parents of a newborn boy who died last March. Winchester Police say foul play was involved and that the boy died from blunt force trauma to his head.

23-year-old Amanda Tolson and 24-year-old Christopher Chandler were indicted for murder by a Grand Jury on Thursday. The two were arrested on Monday. Tolson was arrested in Winchester, while Chandler was arrested in Georgetown.

Police say their newborn son, Lucas Chase Chandler, died in March of 2009 from blunt force trauma to the head. He was taken to the hospital after the couple reported he wasn't breathing properly. Chandler says his lips were blue until CPR was conducted on the baby.

Chris Chandler, who isn't vouching for his then-girlfriend Amanda Tolson, would only tell 27 Newsfirst that he didn't do anything to his son to cause the head damage.

"I know I didn't. I'm pretty sure she wouldn't, but I know 100% that I didn't do anything to my child. There's nothing I can say to police. They have their mind set. Anyone who knows me knows I love kids and I would never hurt a kid", says Chris Chandler.

Both Chandler and Tolson are behind bars at the Clark County Jail. Amanda Tolson denied our request for an interview.

Both will appear in court for the murder charge on February 18th.
