Winchester Police say they got a call Wednesday night about a driver swerving on Interstate 64. They caught up with him near exit 96. A few miles down the road they say the car braked, swerved off the road, and hit an embankment. The driver - only 16 years-old - jumped from the car. His passenger - 23 year-old Joshua Stephens - tells 27 NEWSFIRST the 16 year-old reached speeds up to 120 mph.
"I thought I was gonna get shot. 120 miles down 64. That's not a good speed especially when you've got eight cruisers behind you. One's gonna shoot you or something," says Stephens.
Police charged the 16 year-old with receiving stolen property. They say the car belonged to a Winchester dealership. He was also charged with fleeing the scene. Police charged Stephens with fleeing, evading, and resisting arrest.
