Two hurt in wrong-way interstate crash

A bad crash on I-64, in Clark County, had the eastbound lanes shutdown Tuesday afternoon. It happened around 3:00pm, just west of exit 94. A pickup and a car collided head-on. The Clark County sheriff says the pickup was driving the wrong way on the interstate.

Emergency crews had to cut the driver of the car out of the wreckage. The sheriff says that woman sustained minor injuries and was conscious and alert before paramedics took her by ambulance to a local hospital.

The elderly driver of the pickup was flown to UK hospital. There's no word on that person's injuries, but the sheriff says they are not life threatening.

There's no details right now on why the driver of the truck was going the wrong way on the interstate.
