CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - The Clark County School Board took action Tuesday night to avoid losing state funding.
The Clark County Board of Education voted to move ahead with a district facilities plan.
We told you last Thursday how the state threatened to take away funding if the district didn't start moving the plan forward.
It's been in the works since 2007, but some people oppose it. Those on both sides of the issue spoke out before Tuesday's vote.
The plan involves renovating old schools and consolidating others. The Board voted to plan for renovations to the old George Rogers Clark High School, and Clark County Middle School.
