A Winchester neighborhood had quite a fright during morning storms.
One man living on Calloway Street believes lightning hit a little too close to home for him. Howard Fountain said he was watching TV Tuesday morning around 8:30 a.m. when he heard the strike.
"It just started raining, very small thunder. Reached, turned the TV off and then BOOM! Cable box jumped off the TV, blowed up. Lights went off. Pictures fell off the wall. Deer heads fell off the wall. Tennis shoes turned over," said Fountain.
Firefighters did respond to the strike, but didn't find a fire. No injuries were reported.
