No arrests yet in police impostor case

It's been nearly two weeks since Jose Castillo says he was robbed by police impostors on a side street in Winchester. So far, there have been no arrests in the case and Castillo says that makes him nervous.

Castillo says on the night of August 25, he was driving down an alley near Hays Street when a white Ford Crown Victoria turned on blue and red flashing whites behind him. He says he thought he was being stopped by police so he pulled over. He says the driver of that car was dressed in police-style clothes and asked Castillo to get out of his truck. Castillo says the man patted him down, then took over $2,000 from his wallet before getting back in his car and leaving. Castillo says he's concerned that no one has been arrested and he says he's heard of similar robberies in central Kentucky.

"Officers told me that I'm not the first person and that this happens," says Castillo.

Winchester Police say they haven't received any more calls for police impostors in the area.
