It's the busiest season for pool companies such as Wilcox Pools, but employees here are struggling to get the job done after somebody stole machine from right here in their parking lot.

"The end date on some jobs have been pushed back. We're going to take care of that next week," says Ernie Wilcox, the owner of Wilcox Pools.

Wilcox knew he'd be busy this summer but he never imagined that his work would revolve around a police report.

Wilcox says early Wednesday morning, someone stole his Bobcat machine, valued at around $30-$40,000.

"That piece of equipment right now is priceless to us. We're putting a lot of pools in. We need that bobcat to do our business with," adds Wilcox.
Wilcox's business isn't the only one that fell victim to thieves. Also in Winchester, thieves hit Clem's plumbing just a few days later. Security video shows the crooks attaching a front loader to their 4-door white pick up truck.

Winchester Police have confirmed that the two machinery thefts are connected. In both, the same white Ford pick-up truck is used. It has a sun roof.

Wilcox says he is forced to invest in a new security system, "We are going to up the security, get some new cameras in here so that something like this happens again. "
