Along with road crews, law enforcement agencies are making sure the roads are safe for drivers, especially as the temperature dips tonight.
For the most part, the main roads in Winchester were in good shape Tuesday afternoon.
However, Winchester Police say their concern is the snow that continues to fall, and the dark.
They anticipate many roads getting more dangerous as the night goes on.
They say while there haven't been many accidents yet, there probably will be some tonight.
They're asking drivers out on the roads to live by the same rules they do while in their cruisers.
"Just like I tell everybody else, try to pay attention to what you're doing and watch your surroundings," Winchester Police Officer Greg Vaught said.
Police also say you should leave plenty of distance between your car and the one in front of you.
They also say if a road looks impassable, it probably is, and you shouldn't take a chance by driving on it.
