Three people, including a mother and a four-month-old baby were inside a duplex on Westside Drive when a bullet came flying in around 9:30 Wednesday morning.
Mother Erin Hall said they weren't staying the night any longer after what happened.
"We kinda just think it was somebody mistaking the wrong house or something like that."
Winchester police say Hall was right. They arrested 24-year-old Larry Patrick Jr. around 4:30 Wednesday afternoon, after he admitted to shooting at the wrong house. He's charged with two counts of wanton endangerment and tampering with physical evidence.
Hall says she woke up around 9:30 Wednesday morning when her roommate told her someone shot at their house on Westside Drive. The bullet went through the window, into a bedroom wall. Everyone inside the home at the time of the shooting was unharmed.
"I don't know what's going on, don't want to know but I think it's a shame that somebody would do that to somebody's back door. Could have got one of the kids," said neighbor Tonyia Watkins, "We're thinking about moving now, so it kinda scares you some. You get worried."
