CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) -

March 21, 2010. It's a day that at least three families will never forget.

"Some days it seems like it's a lifetime and other times, it seems like it was yesterday," says Crystal Reese, the mother of a murder victim.

Three painful years have passed since Reese's 24-year-old son, Robbie was murdered at a party in Clark County along with his two friends, Dustin Browning, 21 and Clayton Edge, 23. Authorities say that they found all three men shot to death inside a home on Pine Ridge Road.

"At first you couldn't hardly go into town cause everyone was talking. Now you hear nothing," adds Reese.

"It's almost like everybody has forgotten your child. That's how it feels," Reese says.

While there have been three funerals, Kentucky State Police have not made any arrests.

"We don't know anything more today than we did three years ago," says Reese.

Reese says she can't find any closure until the person or persons responsible are in jail, "I think losing a child is one of the worst things that could ever happen. It feels like somebody has ripped your heart out of your chest."

This mother is determined to keep her son's memory alive and to find justice for him and his two friends.

"Every day when the phone rings, you pray that it's them calling," says Reese.

It's a call she'll continue to wait for and yet dreads taking at the same time.

There will be a candlelight vigil for the three murder victims this Saturday night at 7 o'clock. It will be held on the Clark County courthouse steps.
