Two sentenced for Clark County murder

CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Percy Hargrove and Sheena Tipton are headed to prison for their role in the death of Andrew David Ingram.

Ingram was killed on Dec. 14, 2011. Hargrove and Tipton received their punishment on Thursday. Tipton is sentenced to 10 years for drawing a map of Ingram's home and for showing Percy Hargrove where to find him. Hargrove will spend the next 27 years of his life in prison for killing Ingram.

"They broke into a man's home. A place a person should be safe and secure," said Clark County Circuit Judge Jean Chenault Logue. "Broke in, started a fight, and chased the man down the street and shot him in the back and killed him."

The pair accepted a plea deal in November. As result, Hargrove and Tipton avoided a trial and possibly the death penalty.

Ingram's family feels Hargrove and Tipton got off too easy.

"I think that they should have been prosecuted to the full extent of the law. If the law allows the death penalty. I think that's what they should have gotten," said Angela Rudolph, Ingram's sister.

Percy Hargrove must serve 85% of his sentence before he's eligible for parole.
