Traffic stop leads to drug arrests in Garrard County

GARRARD CO., Ky. (WKYT) - Two people are facing drug charges after a traffic stop in Garrard County.

Police say an officer stopped a vehicle on Lexington Rd. Thursday night for traffic violations and a K-9 gave a “positive indication” on the vehicle.
When officers searched the vehicle, police say they found suspected meth, suspected heroin and pills. They say two guns were also found in the vehicle.
The driver was identified as 34-year-old Latasha Woods, of Nicholasville, and the passenger was identified as 33-year-old William Burgin, of Wilmore. Police say they are both convicted felons.
Both were arrested on multiple felony charges and taken to the Lincoln County Regional Jail.
