Man in Leslie County arrested on trafficking and domestic violence charges

LESLIE COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) -- Deputies in Leslie County were dispatched to a home in the Camp Creek area of Windover.

After deputies arrived at the home, a woman claimed Douglas Lewis assaulted her in a wooded area, she also claimed that Lewis took her cell phone.

Deputies searched for Lewis on a trail near the home and found Lewis about 100 yards away from the home.

Deputies said Lewis attempted to hide something in leaves.

Lewis was caught and arrested.

While deputies searched the area, they found the woman’s cell phone along with marijuana scales, baggies, and cash.

Again, deputies spoke with the woman as she revealed that an elderly person was inside of the home.

Deputies said the elderly person was in poor condition as EMS was contacted and the elderly person was taken to the hospital.

Lewis was charged with assault (domestic violence), trafficking marijuana, reckless abuse and neglect of adult by person.
