LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Rounds of rain will roll through the region later today.

Showers & thunderstorms will be passing through the region. There is a chance that some of the storms could be strong or severe. Things shouldn’t get out of hand, but some of these storms might be a little gusty. Our primary threat is high wind.

Another solid round of showers & thunderstorms will be with us on Thursday. It might even bring even more heavy rounds of rain. This shouldn’t be a washout. That means that you will have periods of dry time thrown into the mix. The round-after-round of rain will not be an issue. Those dry periods will be with us off and on.

Our end of the week and weekend will be much dryer with some cooler than normal temperatures. Highs will come in around the low to mid-70s. This is the good stuff.

Take care of each other, take chances and take on the day!
