LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - These scattered showers & thunderstorms will remain a daily threat for Kentucky.

Rounds of showers & thunderstorms will be with us all week long. Many of these will produce locally heavy rain. Those heavier showers & storms could bring some localized high water issues. If you get under one of these, it will be gusty and heavy. This is an issue we face until the weekend. A cold front will arrive at that time, but it could bring some strong thunderstorms.

The other real issue is the in-between time. Humidity stays elevated to what you can call “tropical levels” and that essentially means that we reach dew point temperatures that will come in around 70 degrees or higher. You will notice it in a hurry. When your door opens, to walk out of the house, it will hit you in the face.

Take care of each other, take chances and take on the day!
