Gov. Beshear reports 726 new COVID-19 cases Monday

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - Governor Andy Beshear has provided an update on COVID-19 cases.

The governor said on Saturday, there were 1,561 new cases and 45 deaths, on Sunday there were 747 new cases and 11 deaths, and Monday there were 726 new cases and 10 deaths. The state death total is now 10,280.

The governor said the state is seeing a 5.73% positivity rate.

There are 719 COVID-related hospitalizations, 191 in the ICU and 105 on ventilators.

Beshear said 2,611,059 people in the state have been vaccinated, which is 58% of all Kentuckians.
