Region Final Saturday in Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Twelve spots in the Girls’ Sweet 16 at Rupp Arena were up for grabs Saturday across the Commonwealth.

In the 11th Region title game, Franklin County beat Lafayette 41-29. The Flyers will face Henderson County on Wednesday night.

In the 10th Region title game, George Rogers Clark hammered Montgomery County 57-38. The Cardinals will face off with Corbin on Thursday at 6:00. The Redhounds beat South Laurel in the 13th Region title game.

In the 8th Region title game, Kentucky commit Amiya Jenkins and Anderson County beat Owen County 52-42. The Bearcats will face No. 1 Sacred Heart on Thursday at 8:30.

In the 12th Region title game, Southwestern beat Mercer County 58-42 to return to Rupp Arena for the third time in four years. The Warriors will face McCracken County Wednesday at 6:00.
