BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WKYT) - Mark Stoops’ Kentucky Wildcats have been selected by media members to finish second in SEC Eastern Division, the conference announced on Friday.

Georgia (1254 points) was the choice to win the East.

Alabama was picked to win the SEC Championship.

The Wildcats picked up 932 points in the media vote, including four votes to win the division. Tennessee was third (929). Points were awarded on a 7-6-5-4-3-2-1 scale.

UK running back Chris Rodriguez and offensive lineman Kenneth Horsey were tabbed 2nd-team preseason all-SEC. Quarterback Will Levis was named 3rd-team preseason all-SEC
