Police arrest man in connection with shots fired report that led to large police presence
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - An arrest has been made in connection with a shots-fired incident in Lexington.
According to police, officers responded around 1:20 p.m. Thursday to the Sherard Circle area for a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found evidence that shots had indeed been fired.
No injuries have been reported, but police say there was some property damage.
At the time of the shots-fired call, police said they did not have a suspect in custody.
An arrest citation says police arrested Kenneth Colvin Thursday evening around 7. Colvin is listed on his arrest citation as living in the Sherard Circle area.
The citation says Colvin fired several rounds from an “assault rifle” in a residential area between two houses.
Colvin is facing charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and wanton endangerment.
