Hugh Keeton

Since arriving at WLOX in 2015 Hugh Keeton has had the pleasure of joining viewers nightly as the co-anchor for the WLOX evening newscasts.

In addition to seeing Hugh in the anchor chair you will routinely see him out in the community from Bay St. Louis to Pascagoula reporting on the most important stories of the day. From describing the impacts of hurricanes to celebrating great accomplishments of residents, Hugh has a passion for telling the stories of South Mississippi.

Although Hugh moved to the Coast from Springfield, Missouri, he was no stranger to the Magnolia State. He grew up in the small North Mississippi town of Iuka, and later attended Ole Miss.

Before coming to WLOX, Hugh spent most of his career covering sports. He worked as a Sports Anchor at stations in Missouri, Louisiana and Alabama. He's had the opportunity to report from some of the most exciting and biggest sporting events in the nation including the World Series and even the Saints remarkable championship run to the Super Bowl in 2009.

He's also been honored with multiple awards for reporting excellence at WLOX and other stations he's been with.

Hugh and his wife, Danielle, along with their four children are happy to call Long Beach home. Hugh and his family love spending time outdoors and exploring all that the Mississippi Coast has to offer.
