I have lived all over the country. I was born in Dallas and then moved to Los Angeles, Lexington, Atlanta and then Madison, Alabama all by the age of 15. While my family moved around quite a bit, they are originally from Lexington, so Kentucky has always been home. I have always spent my summers and holidays here in the Bluegrass State.

When I was growing up, I always knew that I wanted to be a journalist, I just didn't know what kind. In middle school, I worked with my school's morning announcements and that's where I found my passion for storytelling. In high school, I worked for the newspaper and got some experience in print journalism.

When it came time for college, I decided on the University of Alabama. While looking through the catalog to decide a major, I saw News Media was one of them and I knew it would be a perfect fit for me. I spent the next four years falling in love with broadcast journalism.

After interning with WKYT in Lexington the summer before my senior year, I knew I wanted to move back to the Commonwealth to start my journalism career. Not long after graduating in May 2023, I started here at WYMT.

I am so happy to be here serving the Eastern Kentucky community. If you have a story, you want me to share, please feel free to email me.
