I was born and raised in Cleveland, Tennessee. I grew up proud to live in the Volunteer State.

At an early age, I knew journalism was the career path I was most passionate about. I grew up watching any and all sporting events with my dad, and I felt confident sports was the direction I wanted to go. However, as many of you know now, that is not how my story ends.

After graduating from Cleveland High School in 2018 (Go Raiders!), I attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and pursued a degree in Journalism and Electronic Media.

You know I am going to say it … Go Vols!

During my time at UT, I interned at WYMT’s sister station WVLT in Knoxville where I had the opportunity to learn more about the news industry. I quickly grew to love it.

Prior to graduation, I began the marathon long process of job interviews and deciding what I really wanted to do. During that process God kept bringing WYMT back to me. I accepted the job as news anchor and reporter with the station in May 2022, and began my career in Eastern Kentucky that July.

I moved to Eastern Kentucky eager to tell the stories of Appalachia and it did not take me long to fall in love with the mountain people.

Three weeks after the biggest move of my life came one of the biggest events of many people’s lives: July 28, 2022. It was a day that historic flooding changed the lives of many Eastern Kentuckians forever. I quickly jumped in and began learning who the people of mountains really are. I saw strength, resiliency and a lot of love.

Since starting my career at WYMT, I have been granted the opportunity to tell countless stories. Some that have made you smile and some that have made you cry. I have addressed issues and I have helped give a voice to people's stories through my work. My stories have reached beyond Eastern Kentucky. So far, I even received a letter from a group of people in Guam.

Many of you have also seen me behind the anchor desk. During my time at WYMT I have anchored each and every newscast more than once. I have gotten to wake up with each of you and I have gotten to say goodnight to many as well.

I love getting to connect with each of you so feel free to reach out to me via email or social media!

I am truly passionate about the job I get to do, and I thank each and every one of you for trusting me to tell your stories.
