My broadcasting career started in 1979 at WKYT as a news reporter, and later Co-Host of PM Magazine, '79-'82. Moved to New York City as a news reporter at WCBS, '82-'83. Consumer, medical, and investigative reporter at WESH in Orlando, Fl. '83-'87. Returned to WKYT in Sept. 1987 as early and late night news anchor. Winner of Edward R. Murrow Awards, and 5 Regional Emmy Awards. Anchored all day coverage of the crash of Flight 5191, all elections since '87, and field anchored UK Final Four coverage since 1993, including the last 3 UK National Championships.

Married 25-years to Noelle Dick, owner of CycleYou in Lexington. Three grown children: Samuel III, Leah, and Christina. Hobbies includes fishing, exercise, and traveling across the US and the world.
