Lileana Pearson is happy to be back in Kentucky after a year away. She grew up in the Bluegrass State and can't imagine starting her career anywhere else.

Before coming to WKYT in September, she received her BA from Lindsey Wilson College in Adair County and finished her MA from Syracuse University in broadcast and digital journalism. While in New York, she was able to develop her interest in politics by reporting abroad in Israel and covering the Syracuse mayoral race.

Most recently she was in Washington D.C. covering Congress for WFFF-TV in Burlington VT. Lileana covered President Trump announcing John Kavanaugh as his U.S. Supreme Court pick and how tariffs on Canadian lumber affect mill owners and lumber prices.

Away from the station, Lileana enjoys spending time with her family and being in nature.
