Jim Stratman is coming back home to Kentucky after two years in Southwest Indiana. He likes to say he's made a triangle around the Bluegrass state, and now he's happy to be in the center of the commonwealth.
Jim grew up in Northern Kentucky and studied at Western Kentucky University.
He started as a radio student, co-hosting a show on the local ESPN affiliate and doing play-by-play for local high schools. Jim was also involved in the student-run television station. He worked behind the camera before making his debut on-air as a reporter and anchor.
After graduating in 2017, he started his career as a sports reporter at WYMT in Hazard, Ky. From there, he moved to Evansville, Ind., as a news reporter and quickly moved into a role as the morning reporter at 14 News.
In his free time, Jim likes hitting the links, watching sports, and trying new things to eat with his fiancée.
Jim loves telling stories, and he's excited to start telling the stories of central Kentucky.
If you see Jim around town, say hello!
