2 pounds of crystal meth seized in Laurel County drug bust

LONDON, Ky. (WKYT) – Detectives with the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office arrested three people Wednesday morning after learning of a large amount of meth being brought into the county.

According to the Sheriff, investigators found over 2 pounds of methamphetamine in a 2004 Cadillac Escalade after a traffic stop just before 10:30 a.m. on HWY 770, about ten miles south of London.

39-year-old James Coulter of Louisville, 40-year-old Robert Thornsberry of Shepherdsville, and 32-year-old Stephanie Richard were arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute.

All three were taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
