LONDON, Ky. (WKYT) – The Laurel County Sheriff says what started as a traffic stop ended with four people arrested on drug charges.
The Sheriff says it happened Friday night at about 9:40 p.m. when deputies attempted to pull over a Jeep Grand Cherokee after the vehicle failed to signal a turn. A release from the Sheriff says that the Jeep kept driving for more than a quarter-mile before turning in to the North Laurel High School parking lot.
While questioning the occupants, a passenger in the back seat, later identified as 34-year-old Randolph Sizemore of Barbourville, reportedly gave deputies false information repeatedly. When investigators found out his real identity, they also discovered Sizemore had multiple warrants and was a parole violator.
Deputies say Sizemore then jumped out of the Jeep and tried to run off, but only made it about 100 feet. Deputies say they had a brief scuffle with Sizemore before he was taken into custody. According to a release from the Sheriff, Sizemore was yelling and creating a disturbance near a football game being played with children nearby.
Continuing the investigation, deputies say they found everyone in the vehicle was in possession of suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana.
All four were arrested with the following charges:
- Megan N. House, 23 of London: Fleeing or evading police, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana.
- Randolph F. Sizemore, 34 of Barbourville: Fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, giving officer false identifying information, public intoxication, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana, along with bench warrants from Whitley and Laurel counties and a Kentucky parole board parole violation warrant.

- Wendy J. Hooker, 40 of Barbourville: Possession of methamphetamine, public intoxication, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All four were taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
