Seven people are safe after a water rescue on Saturday night in Jessamine County.
It happened around 8 p.m. on the Kentucky River.
The Jessamine County Fire Department says seven people were onboard a small boat when they could not get the motor to start.
Fire officials say the boat drifted downstream about four or five miles, lasting nearly two hours before a rescue was made.
Officials say rescue crews put a boat in the water and followed it downstream, using a rope to tie the boats together and pull them in.
Officials say the boat was too small for the amount of passengers on board, but nobody was arrested or charged in the incident.
Officials tell us nobody was injured in the incident either.
