LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Much more mild and dry air is coming into our area to start out the weekend giving some relief from the humidity.
We start out this Saturday morning feeling very nice and actually cool for once. Morning lows are starting out the day in the lower 60s with low humidity and a nice light breeze. By this afternoon skies will remain mostly sunny, but highs only reach into the lower 80s and with low humidity we won't even have to consider the heat index. Some areas in far southern Kentucky could get in on some isolated rain chances, but most of the region will be staying dry.
Moving into the second half of the weekend on Sunday we deal with a similar setup, but a bit warmer. Morning lows start out in the lower 60s with mostly clear skies. These temperatures then warm up into the mid-80s for your highs by the afternoon and we add in a bit more humidity back into the forecast. This humidity comes from an increased rain chances as scattered storms are possible by the afternoon and evening hours, but not everyone will get in on the rain so don't go changing plans quite yet.
Throughout the rest of the week, we will be seeing temperatures and humidity on the rise. To start out the work week, temperatures will be in the mid-80s, but then by the middle and latter parts of the week highs will be back into the upper 80s. Scattered rain chances will also be increasing into the middle parts of the week bringing back a good bit of humidity with it.
