Gov. Bevin: "I apologize" to those hurt by comments

Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin released a video Sunday apologizing for his comments to reporters Friday suggesting that Kentucky children were sexually assaulted or poisoned because of teacher protests.

In the video, Bevin thanks people who "understood what I was saying," but admitted that a "tremendous number of people did not fully appreciate" his comments.

"I apologize for those who have been hurt by the things that were said," said Bevin. "It is my absolute, sincere, apology to you. It is not my intent to hurt anybody in this process."
