UPDATE: Knott Co. coroner identifies body found at Carr Creek marina

The Knott County coroner has identified the body of a 46-year-old man that was discovered at the Carr Creek Lake Marina.

According to the coroner, the victim is Jack Brian Pinyerd. His body was found by a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Park Ranger near Pinyerd's boat by the edge of the lake.

“At this point, we think he fell out of the boat, says Knott County Coroner Corey Watson. “He would normally do a lot of night fishing, this was a fairly common thing for the individual.”

Officials say they don’t believe foul play was involved.
