A Lexington Police officer on patrol after a break-in, discovered a second break-in nearby.

Police say a group of men tried to break into the Marathon on Clays Mill Road, but were scared away when the alarm went off.

An officer patrolling the area nearby spotted a broken window at a second gas station on Southland Drive, just a short time later.

Police say they are waiting on the owner of that store to do inventory to see if anything was taken.

Surveillance cameras caught shots of the suspects who broke into the first store, but police have not released that video at this time.

Both incidents are being investigated by the Lexington Division of Police.
