GLASGOW, Ky. (WKYT) – A man is behind bars, accused in the armed robbery of a Dollar General Store in Glasgow.
Officers say 51-year-old Keith Byrd of Cave City entered the store on West Main Street at around 4:30 p.m., showed a gun to the clerk, and then demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, Byrd reportedly ran off on foot.
No injuries were reported.
After circulating surveillance photos of the robbery (see below,) police working with the Barren County Sheriff’s Office were able to track Byrd down. He was arrested and charged with robbery and wanton endangerment.
Byrd was taken to the Barren County Detention Center.
