Chris Bailey's Forecast | Tracking the late week winter storm threat

By  |

It's the mild before the wild. Temps through Thursday run much above normal, then we see a dramatic drop, followed by a potential winter storm.

Highs on Thursday are deep in the 60s with a few showers and thunderstorms. This is ahead of a cold front crossing the state on Friday. That front will have an area of low pressure along it, delivering snow and ice to the region.

The best chance for snow and ice comes Friday afternoon through Saturday morning. Several inches are possible at this time, but the exact track of the low will be the determining factor on how much you get where you live.

Cold air then settles in for the weekend with another snow maker coming early next week.
