Another light snow maker is on the way to the region later tonight. This will put down some minor accumulations, especially across the northern half of the state. Watch for a few slick spots by early Tuesday.
A stronger system will then bring a wintry mess our way Tuesday night and early Wednesday. Rain, freezing rain and a some light snow will all be possible during this time.
The greatest threat for freezing rain is across western and northern parts of our area. Slick travel is possible into early Wednesday. Mainly rain falls across southern and eastern Kentucky.
A brief switch to light snow is likely as the mess comes to an end on Wednesday.
Temps rebound toward 50 by the end of the week, just in time for another system to roll in here for the upcoming weekend. That looks like mainly a rain maker, at this point.
