LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - After gusty winds and showers yesterday, mother nature throws a nice stretch of weather our way and does so just in time for the weekend. With that said, look for mostly sunny skies to eventually take over today as highs climb into the upper 40's. It'll be a little on the cooler side once you factor in a breezy northwesterly winds, but overall, it's a nice end to the work week.
Tonight, lows drop into the upper 20's and low 30's under mostly clear skies. So look for a colder start to the weekend if out and about early on Saturday.
No reason to fret on the "colder" start to the days ahead. Temperatures rebound nicely for both Saturday and Sunday despite kicking things off in the 20's. Highs Saturday reach the low 50's with upper 50's taking over Sunday. What makes this even better is the sunshine that comes along with it. Talk about a nice weekend ahead!
More rain and storm chances roll back into the Commonwealth by early next week. Temperatures spike close to 60 Monday before crashing into the 40's Tuesday. Highs eventually drop into the 30's by next mid-late week as we talk possible snow chances Wednesday. Otherwise look for the winter feel to take over late-week as conditions dry out.
