LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Ahhh, what a day it was and one that was much needed. Finally, some sunshine making a return to the forecast after the work week ended on a soggy note. The good news is if you liked today, you'll enjoy your Sunday ahead.
Tonight, clear skies continue as conditions remain calm and cool. Lows drop into the upper 30's and low 40's with some patchy fog showing up in spots.
Sunday will feature another great looking weather day. Mostly sunny skies win out as temperatures rebound into the low-mid 50's for highs. Get out and enjoy it while you can, rain chances are set to return into the new work week.
Clouds increase Sunday night and eventually take over into Monday. A cold front moves in from the north and west Monday afternoon/evening while bringing a broken line of gusty scattered showers to the Commonwealth. Highs Monday remain pleasant with thermometers in the mid-upper 50's.
A dry stretch quickly takes over by Tuesday with another milder day in the 50's. Much colder air crashes in by mid-late week while bringing back the real winter feel. Highs tumble into the upper 30's and low 40's with overnight lows in the 20's. Another system could bring rain and snow chances to the forecast late week.
