LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Fayette County Coroner says a man is dead after being found in a creek.

It happened Saturday afternoon behind an apartment complex on Cambridge Drive.

The coroner says there is no apparent cause of death, but no trauma seemed to be found.

"There's lots of scenarios that could've played out. He could have been crossing the creek, slipped and hit his head, went unconscious. He could've been doing drugs. It could've been forced," Coroner Gary Ginn said.

The coroner says they do not have an identity on the man at this time.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine a cause of death.
