A bad crash in Lexington killed two teenage brothers and sent another teen to the hospital.
Police responded to Harrodsburg Road around 8:30 a.m. Sunday after a passerby noticed the mangled car. However, police believe the crash happened hours earlier around 3:40 a.m.
Police said the car hit a tree outside of Fayette County Public School's Southside Technical Center.
We are told the 18-year-old driver was trapped in the car until firefighters freed him. He suffered severe leg injuries. Two passengers, a 17-year-old boy and his 15-year-old brother, died at the scene.
Investigators believe the driver lost control. They told WKYT speed may have been a factor in the crash.
An autopsy will be performed Monday.
