COVINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - After threats were made against Covington Catholic High School in northern Kentucky, extra security measures will be put into place Tuesday according to WXIX in Cincinnati.
The school gained national attention after a video showing a group of students and their encounter with a Native American man in Washington, D.C. went viral on Saturday.
The American Indian Movement Chapter of Indiana and Kentucky has also announced it will no longer be hosting a previously planned “peace vigil” at the school. The group says it understands the concerns associated with gathering at the school, and has decided to move their protest to the Diocese of Covington on Tuesday, according to WXIX.
