WINCHESTER, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are investigating a fatal crash on I-64 in Clark County, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

Interstate 64 eastbound was shut down near mile marker 99, near the exit to the Mountain Parkway, but has since reopened.

A battalion chief told WKYT that a man and woman were in the car when it slammed into an oil tanker.

The Clark County Coroner has identified the victim as Shasta Mullins, 33, from Georgetown.

Officials say Mullins was the passenger in the car at the time of the crash. She was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car, a 39-year-old man is expected to be okay.

Police say Mullins and the driver of the car were headed home from Toyota, where the two worked. The Sheriff's Office says they believe speed played a factor in the crash.
