2 Mountain Parkway crashes cause problems Wednesday morning in Clark County

WINCHESTER, Ky. (WKYT) - Police responded Wednesday morning to two crashes on the Mountain Parkway in Clark County.

The first crash was a little after 7 a.m. near mile marker 2. Both the eastbound and westbound lanes were shut down for less than an hour. Traffic was moving again before 8 a.m.

Another crash two miles away also caused problems. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said four vehicles were involved in a crash near mile marker 4 sometime before 8 a.m.

Firefighters said at least one person was airlifted to a hospital from the scene of the crash.

Crews have since reopened all lanes of travel.
