LONDON, Ky. (WKYT) - A stretch of a southern Kentucky highway is back open following a crash.
The crash happened on Kentucky 80 in Laurel County, west of London.
Trooper Steven Douglas of Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement says a pickup rear-ended a tractor-trailer. A helicopter airlifted the driver of the pickup, 58-year-old Terry W. Ghent of London, to the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
EMS officials on the scene say Ghent had critical injuries. Officials at UK Hospital have Ghent currently listed in serious condition.
The crash did not hurt driver of the tractor-trailer.
