PARIS, Ky. (WKYT) - A large power outage in Bourbon County left hundreds without electricity Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
Paris City Electric says most of the town lost power when a tree fell on a power pole, snapping it on Fithian Avenue.
Officials say it happened around 9:30 Tuesday night. Crews worked through the overnight hours trying to fix the issue.
As of early Wednesday morning, power was being restored to the downtown area. Electricity was still out for other areas of Paris, like Garrard Park. It could remain out for several more hours.
