Deputies looking for suspect in Pulaski Co. burglary

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A burglary suspect is on the run after police say they stole thousands of dollars from a Southern Kentucky store.

On Sunday before 6 a.m., police say a burglar cut the lock on the front gate of Tony's Knives and Collectibles and then kicked in the front door.

The suspect stole three guitars, one amp and guitar pedals in less than two minutes, authorities said.

Tony Carlton's passion for music led him to start his own business 15 years ago, and he has never experienced anything like this robbery.

"When I came in I didn't immediately recognize what was missing," said Carlton. "He went right to them. He knew which ones he was wanting."

Police say the suspect is at least 6'2'' and left a 14-inch footprint on the door. The merchandise he took is worth nearly $2,400.

Despite the robbery, Carlton is in good spirits.

"When you come down to it it's just stuff. You've got a lot of other things to be happy for," he said. "We might not ever see the things again, but I think the Lord will take car of us in the end anyway."

Police ask if you know anything or recognized the person in surveillance video, then call the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department.
