A nationwide outage affected driver's licence offices across Kentucky for several hours Monday..
Officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) said that a system issue with a vendor, the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators, caused the problem.
Circuit court clerk offices as well as KYTC-operated licensing offices were unable to issue licenses.
Around 2:30 p.m., state officials said the problem had been resolved.
